Veronza Bowers, Jr.'s contributions to the operations and programs of this institution's Recreation Department have been both numerous and significant. Mr. Bowers is a flutist in two different bands, "Impulse" and "Rastadeez," both of which provide entertainment for special events and during holidays. The willingness of these bands to provide live entertainment to our inmate population results in a cash saving to this institution of tens of thousands of dollars each year. In addition to Mr. Bowers' musical contributions, he has proved himself to be particularly helpful in staging chess tournaments during holidays. Generally, Mr. Bowers can be depended upon to willingly and cheerfully perform any extra task which the staff of this department might ask of him.

The staff of this department would strongly endorse any favorable consideration which might be extended to Mr. Bowers by either your Unit Team or the U.S. Parole Commission.
